On November 10, 2011, Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi, who was accompanying President Hu Jintao to attend the 19th annual Economic Leaders Meeting of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum, met with his Indonesian counterpart Marty Natalegawa in Honolulu, Hawaii. Yang and Natalegawa exchanged views on China-Indonesia relations as well as regional and international issues of common concern. The two sides agreed to maintain close communication so as to ensure positive results at the East Asia leaders meetings to be held in Bali, Indonesia.
