On November 22, 2011, Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi and Turkmen Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Meredov jointly attended the launch ceremony of the Chinese version of President Berdymukhamedov's books in Diaoyutai State Guesthouse. Nearly 300 people from the governments and all sectors of society of the two countries attended the ceremony.

Yang said that the release of Chinese version of President Berdymukhamedov's three books, i.e. Medicinal Plants of Turkmenistan, Health Resort-Turkmenistan and Flying Horse will help the Chinese people better understand Turkmenistan, enhance the mutual understanding and traditional friendship between the two peoples and lay down a solid foundation for the long-term healthy and stable development of bilateral relations. President Berdymukhamedov will arrive at Beijing tonight to start his state visit to China. This visit is paid on the eve of the 20th anniversary of the bilateral diplomatic ties and has special significance. He believes this historic visit will achieve full success and inject vigor into the bilateral ties.

Meredov spoke highly of the current state of bilateral relations and thanked the Chinese side for its hard work to successfully launch the Chinese version of President Berdymukhamedov's books. He believes that the visit of President Berdymukhamedov will achieve full success with the joint efforts and close collaboration between the two sides and push the bilateral friendly and cooperative relations to a higher level.
