On October 23, 2009, Chinese State Councilor Dai Bingguo and Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi sent congratulatory messages to Indonesia's newly appointed Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Djoko Suyanto and Foreign Minister Marty Natalegawa respectively, extending warm congratulations and best wishes to them. They said in their messages that China and Indonesia are friendly neighbors and it is not only in the fundamental interest of both peoples, but also is conducive to peace, stability and prosperity of the region and the world at large to enhance China-Indonesia strategic partnership. Currently bilateral relations enjoy a sound momentum for growth, with a high level of mutual political trust, vigorously growing cooperation in all areas and close coordination in international and regional affairs. China is ready to work with Indonesia to push forward bilateral ties.
