Yang Jiechi Holds Talks with Mongolian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade

On October 12, 2009, Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi held talks with Mongolian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Sukhbaataryn Batbold in Beijing.

Yang said China highly praises the substantial development of bilateral friendly cooperative relations in the political, economic, trade and humanities areas since the establishment of diplomatic relations 60 years ago. China is ready to work with Mongolia to continuously enrich the connotations of China-Mongolia good-neighborly partnership of mutual trust and push bilateral ties for more in-depth and broader development.

Batbold said Mongolia attaches great importance to ties with China and is confident of the bright prospect of bilateral ties. Mongolia is ready to work with China to further consolidate the friendship, deepen mutually beneficial cooperation and achieve common development.

Batbold is visiting China at the invitation of Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi. He will also attend the Meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the SCO Member States to be held in Beijing on October 14 on behalf of Mongolian Prime Minister Bayar.
