On February 10, 2012, Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi held talks with visiting Singaporean Minister for Foreign Affairs and Law K. Shanmugam. The two foreign ministers made positive comments on the development of bilateral ties. They pledged to further implement the consensus reached by the leaders of the two nations, maintain the momentum of high-level interactions, boost mutual trust and deepen their cooperation in economy, trade, finance, culture and other areas for more progress in advancing China-Singapore relations. The two sides also exchanged views on international and regional issues of common concern.
