On December 10, Mr. Shen Bo, the new Chinese Ambassador to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, presented the copy of the letter of credence to Ms. Gabriella Sancisi, Director of the Protocol and Host Country Affairs Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Ambassador Shen stated that it is a great honour to be appointed by President Xi Jinping as Chinese Ambassador to the Netherlands, and with this honour come great responsibilities. He stressed that China and the Netherlands should jointly implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, uphold communication and dialogue, deepen mutual benefit and win-win cooperation, and promote the continuous development of the open and pragmatic partnership for comprehensive cooperation between the two countries. He affirmed that, as the new Ambassador, he is committed to making unremitting efforts to advance all round cooperation between the two countries.

Ms. Sancisi welcomed Ambassador Shen for assuming office, noting that the Netherlands attaches great importance to developing its relations with China and stands ready to provide support to Ambassador Shen and the Embassy in carrying out their duties.
