On September 9, H.E. Mr. Shen Bo, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, met with Mr. Coen van Oostrom, Chairman of the Confederation of Netherlands Industry and Employers (known as VNO-NCW). The two sides exchanged views on China-Netherlands and China-EU economic and trade relations, among other issues. Mr.Shen Bo said that China will remain firmly committed to advancing high-standard opening-up, continue to foster a world-class business environment, and welcome more Dutch companies to invest and do business in China and share the new opportunities arising from China’s development.

Mr.Oostrom spoke highly of the outcomes of the recent high-level exchanges in the economic and trade fields between the two sides. He said that VNO-NCW will continue to play a positive role as an industry association, work to implement the relevant common understandings reached by the two sides, and contribute to the sound and stable development of economic and trade relations between the Netherlands and China. Shen elaborated on China’s position on relevant issues.
