On July 29, the Chinese Embassy in the Netherlands held a reception to celebrate the 99th anniversary of the founding of the People's Liberation Army (PLA). H.E. Ambassador Shen Bo, together with over 200 distinguished guests, including officers and officials from Dutch Government and international organizations, diplomatic envoys of various countries attended the reception.

The remarks by the Embassy stated that the Chinese military thoroughly implements Xi Jinping Thought on strengthening the military, is firmly committed to the path of peaceful development, pursues a national defense policy that is defensive in nature, practices the vision of building a community with a shared future for humanity, promotes the implementation of the four Global Initiatives, and firmly safeguards world peace and international fairness and justice.

A photo exhibition themed “Chinese PLA: Safeguarding World Peace” was also held on site. The guests spoke highly of the great contributions of Chinese military in maintaining world peace. The reception was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
