On July 17, the Chinese Embassy in the Netherlands hosted a pre-departure gathering for over 60 university students from the Netherlands-Asia Honours Summer School (NAHSS) who are gearing up for their upcoming visit to China.

H.E. Mr. Shen Bo, Chinese Ambassador to the Netherlands, attended the event and delivered a speech. He extended a warm welcome to the delegation, emphasizing that the youth represent the future of China-Netherlands relations. He hoped that the students would travel extensively across China with an open mind and a spirit of exploration to understand a comprehensive, real, and multi-dimensional China, experience the country's development vitality, and act as "youth ambassadors" of friendship between China and the Netherlands.

The NAHSS project comprises students from 13 research universities across the Netherlands. This delegation marks the project's first return to the Chinese mainland since 2019. They will travel to Beijing at the end of July for academic and study tours, including visits to Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU), scientific research institutions and cutting-edge enterprises.
