On June 29, H.E. Mr. Shen Bo, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, met with Dr. Florian Schneider, Academic Director, and Mr. Floris Harm, Executive Director, of the Leiden Asia Centre, a leading think tank in the Netherlands. The two sides exchanged views on China-Netherlands relations, China-EU relations, and exchanges and cooperation between think tanks and academic institutions between the two countries.

Ambassador Shen Bo said that exchanges between think tanks and academic institutions constitute an important part of China-Netherlands relations. China stands ready to strengthen communication and cooperation with the Dutch side, and welcomes more think tank experts and scholars to visit China to gain a firsthand understanding of China's development achievements in various fields, so as to promote exchanges and cooperation between think tanks and academic institutions of the two countries.

The Dutch side briefed Ambassador on the work and major research priorities of the Leiden Asia Centre, and expressed their willingness to further strengthen communication as well as enhance mutual understanding and cooperation with the Chinese side.
