On January 27, H.E. Mr. Shen Bo, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, met with H.E. Mr. David van Weel, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands.

Ambassador Shen said that China stands ready to work with the Netherlands in the spirit of partnership to deepen pragmatic cooperation, promote the sound and steady development of China–Netherlands relations, and jointly uphold the authority of the United Nations as well as international fairness and justice.

Minister van Weel welcomed Ambassador Shen on his assumption of office and noted that the Dutch side attaches great importance to relations with China. He expressed the willingness to advance exchanges and cooperation across various fields and strengthen multilateral cooperation, including on climate change.

The two sides exchanged views on issues of common concerns. Minister Zhang Yi of the Chinese Embassy in the Netherlands and other officials were also present at the meeting.
