Chinese Cultural and Sports Activities from June to August

▲ On 20 June, Chinese Embassy in the Netherlands held a reception and a picture exhibition to celebrate the 10th anniversary of China's resuming the exercise of sovereignty over Hong Kong.

▲ From 24 June to 2 July, NO.14 Research Institute Senior Symphony Band joined the International Senior Brass Festival, which was held in Sint-Oedenrode.

▲ On 21 July, Wuhan Acrobatic Troupe gave the premiere of the newly produced acrobatic play "Pirate, Pirate" at Theater Carre in Amsterdam and achieved great success. The performances will last till mid-September in the Neherlands and make a tour performance later on in Belgium, Spain and Germany.

▲ From 28 to 29 July, Two friendly matches were held between China National Women Volleyball Team and Dutch National Women Volleyball Team in Eindhoven.

▲ From 1 to 5 August, China Coal Mine Art Troupe took part in the 23rd International Folkdance Festival in Odoorn; and from 7 to 12 August, took part in the 1st International Folkdance Festival in Adam.

▲ From 3 to 5 August, Shanghai Shenhua Soccer Team took part in the port of Rotterdam Tournament in the stadium in Rotterdam. In the tournament, there are altogether four teams including Shenhua FC, Dutch Feyenoord, Liverpool FC, FC Porto.

▲ On 25 August, Vereniging Netherland-China (VNC) held "China Day" in Papendal, Arnhem, to celebrate the 35th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and the Netherlands at the ambassadorial level, and the 30th anniversary of the founding of VNC. Series of events including lectures, dance, music, handicraft, Wushu and exhibitions were held in the China Day. Chinese Embassy, together with VNC and NOC-NSF, co-organized the exhibition "New Beijing, Great Olympics". Chinese Ambassador Mme. Xue Hanqin attended the Opening Ceremony and delivered a speech on the Seminar.
