At the invitation of
the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science (OCenW) of
the Netherlands, a six member delegation from the China
Federation of Literary and Art Circles (CFLAC), headed by
Mr. Gan Yinglie,member of Presidium of CFALC, visited
the Netherlands from 15th to 18th February, 2004.
H.E. Mrs.Van de Laan, Stated
Secretary for Culture and Media hosted a welcoming lunch on
16th, February. The delegation also held talks with
Mr.Theodoor H. Adams, Directorate International Policy, and
other officials of the OCenW.

Mrs. Xun Hanqin, Chinese Ambassador to the Netherlands, has
invited members of the delegation, as well as Mr. Adams, Mr.
Hoekma, Cultural Ambassador from the Ministry of
Foreign Affairs and other government officials, for a
valedictory lunch on 18th .
During
the visit, the delegation also held a round-table discussion
with representatives from the cultural circles of the
Netherlands organized by the Service Center for
International Cultural Activities (SICA). They have also
visited the Rijksakademie.
Other
members of the delegation are: Mr. Zhao Changqing, Director
of Domestic Liaison Department CFLAC; Mr. Jitemaja, Director
of Secretariat, Chinese Writers Association; Mr. Liu
Bingyi, famous baritone from the Chinese Song and Dance
Ensemble; Mr.Yang Feiyun, Professor of oil painting from the
Central Academy of Fine Arts and Mr. Dong Zhanshun, Section
Chief, External Relations Department CFLAC.
Mr. You Yi and Ms. Song Lejing from
the Cultural Office of the Chinese Embassy accompanied the
delegation during their visit.
