The fear is totally groundless. China is firmly against cyber espionage in any forms, including massive surveillance, and is for the network and information security. In recent years, China has put in place various laws including Cybersecurity Law, Data Security Law and Personal Information Protection Law etc. The privacy and information security of all Chinese citizens and foreign visitors to China are all well protected according to law. China is fully confident to stage a streamlined, safe and splendid Winter Olympic Games.
