Recently, someone sent by the so-called "Tibetan government-in-exile" visited the Netherlands. It is entirely an organized separatist political group with a political platform and an agenda for "Tibetan independence." It is an illegal organization that violates China`s Constitution and laws. No country in the world recognizes it.

China`s position on Xizang-related issues is consistent and clear. Xizang affairs are China`s internal affairs which brook no interference by any external forces. Over the years, Xizang has seen continued and sound economic growth, social harmony and stability, sound preservation of its cultural heritage, and significantly better life for its people. This is a fact that has the wholehearted recognition of people of all ethnic groups in Xizang and is seen by many in the international community. The human rights situation in Xizang is at its best in history. This is an undeniable fact for any unbiased individual.

China urges the Dutch side to respect China's sovereignty and territorial integrity, not in any way support or send any wrong signals to the "Tibet independence" forces to engage in anti-China separatist activities, not meddle with China's internal affairs under the pretext of Xizang-related issues, and do more things conducive to the mutual trust and cooperation and maintain the sound development of Sino-Dutch relations.
