On March 2, Nederlandse Omroep Stichting (NOS) broadcasted an interview with the former deputy head of Taiwan’s foreign affairs office Roy Chun Lee. The spokesperson of the Chinese Embassy in the Netherlands has the following comments:

There is but one China in the world, Taiwan is part of China, and the government of the People`s Republic of China is the sole legal government representing the whole of China. The one-China principle is a prevailing consensus among the international community and a basic norm in international relations, which is also the political foundation of establishing and developing diplomatic relations between China and the Netherlands.

We urge the relevant Dutch media to take a correct stance on issues of core interests concerning China's sovereignty and territorial integrity, adhere to the one-China principle, eliminate the negative impact, and not provide platform for "Taiwan independence" forces.
