Notice on Updated Requirements for Chinese Visa Application

As of June.15 2022, the requirements for Chinese visa application regarding business visa, work visa, and family visit visa are updated as follows:

1. Applicants who hold an Invitation Letter (PU) issued by Chinese central governmental authorities, provincial foreign affair offices and departments of commerce, state-owned enterprises, and most municipal foreign affair offices, can submit corresponding visa applications to the Chinese Visa Application Service Center in The Hague.

2. Applicants who hold a valid Foreigner’s Work Permit or Notification Letter of Foreigner’s Work Permit can submit work visa applications. Immediate family members* of the above-mentioned applicants (including those who are working in China) can submit family visit visa applications by providing a proof of kinship and other required documents.

* including spouses, parents, children under the age of 18, and parents-in-law.

3. Immediate family members** of a Chinese citizen or a foreigner with Chinese permanent residence permit can apply for family visit visa. A proof of kinship and other required documents shall be provided.
